pertaining to the sportsmanship award process or to nominate a team.
In loving memory of coach Jaci Kosin, WACPC has created the Jaci Kosin Sportsmanship Award.
This award is given each year to a cheer and dance team whose conduct, spirit, and character
exemplifies true sportsmanship.
WACPC will select one cheer team and one dance team as recipients of the Jaci Kosin Sportsmanship Award each year. All participating WACPC organizations are eligible for the award, regardless of the number of WACPC events attended. The selection process includes contributions and evaluations from contest officials, contest management, security personnel, WACPC staff, WACPC members, and hotel personnel.
The award winners will be determined by the conduct and sportsmanship displayed by athletes, coaches, and spectators (students and adults).
Award winners will receive a plaque, recognition at WACPC events, and free registration for four athletes and head coach at the annual fall conference. The award winners’ information will also be placed in WACPC publications, on the web site, in the state programs for the following year, and forwarded to the WIAA office.
The Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches promotes good sportsmanship at all events. Athletes, coaches, and spectators are to show consideration for others through their actions at all times (including after awards).
Repercussions for unsportsmanlike conduct may include but are not limited to point deductions and/or disqualification at current and/or future WACPC events.
